Endlessly curious… our systemic journey one year on

For the past year Adult Social Care have been providing systemic practice training to all practitioners, this is an area of priority for Essex County Council to support our practice model. Our systemic journey one year on will explore how  we are using systemically informed practice to enhance our  safeguarding practice, our responses to complaints and our supervision and practice discussions.  This will evidence the impact of shifting our focus from process and systems to the conversation and meaning within our relationships.

Learning outcomes
Demonstrating the application of systemic practice in adult services using a range of systemic approaches:

  • Considering safe uncertainty in triage
  • The use of systemic questions in supervision
  • Applying curiosity in our practice and link to ‘social graces’
  • Wonnacot discrepancy matrix and its application to our Supporting Independence Discussions
