Anti-racist practice: what happens when senior leaders take action

10/11/2023 15:30 - 16:30

This workshop will enable senior leaders, managers and social workers to consider how anti-racist practice could be turned from strategy into action within their organisations. It will highlight the importance of looking at data, ethnicity and gaps in service provision to Black and global majority children and families and the communities we serve.

Attend this session to:

  • Reflect on the lived experiences of children, families and adults, how to meet their needs and acknowledge the impact of racism and racial trauma
  • Gain insight into how you can support Black and global majority staff members within the workplace
  • Understand how to engage senior leaders in having uncomfortable conversations about race, racism and bias to enhance learning and social work practice and create organisational culture change
