Stephen Wey

senior Lecturer in occupational therapy, York St John University
Stephen Wey is a senior lecturer on the occupational therapy programme at York St John University and a registered occupational therapist with more than 35 years' experience in working with people with dementia, learning disabilities, and children and adults with mental health issues. In his teaching, therapy practice and research, his passion has been for developing ways of meaningfully connecting with, empowering and enabling people who have dementia and those they have meaningful connections with. In the last few years this has had a particular focus on co-occupations. He is also a dementia friends ambassador and facilitator with Moving Minds, a collaborative, community-based dance project involving people with dementia and Parkinson's disease and carers.
