Lisa Aldridge

Lisa Aldridge qualified with an MA in social work in 2000. She worked with Coram Family and in children and family services across the London boroughs of Islington, Camden, Kensington and Chelsea, and Hackney. She has been employed as head of service for safeguarding and quality assurance at Hackney since 2016.
She is passionate about creating change and driving forward anti-racist practice at personal and professional levels and is currently undertaking a professional doctorate in advanced practice and research in social work and social care at the Tavistock Clinic. Her research focus is: How do social workers disrupt racism in supervision and practice in a children and families local authority context? She will be using critical race theory in her thinking and approach, acknowledging the impact of her whiteness as a researcher.
