Jahnine Davis is a care-experienced professional with more than 20 years of expertise. As director of Listen Up, an organisation amplifying the voices of marginalised children and advocating for change in safeguarding policy, practice, and research, she is nationally recognised for her impact on adultification bias in child protection. Her PhD research is focused on safeguarding Black children. She serves as the Department for Education's national kinship care ambassador and is an appointed member of the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel, where she led the landmark review It's Silent, addressing race and racism in safeguarding children in England.
