Fiona Havord
Fiona qualified as a Social Worker in Manchester in 2002 after several years working with people experiencing acute and long-term mental health issues. Fiona has been fortunate to work in numerous settings within NHS and local authority teams across South-East England.
In 2023, Fiona brought her passion for social work to Oxfordshire and took up the role of Principal Social Worker, focusing on practice development and assurance, striving to provide the best possible service for people. Fiona works collaboratively with all colleagues and is keen to promote the value and interests of all social care practitioners. Since joining Oxfordshire County Council, Fiona has been an integral part of the leadership team, navigating a CQC inspection, transforming career progression routes for social care staff, launching an adult social care podcast, and continuing to champion the profession and the value of social work with adults.
