Social Work England: regulating for the future

10/12/2022 09:45 - 10:45

Social work education has been under the closest scrutiny for many years since Social Work England launched in 2019. The specialist regulator for social workers brought in new standards for course providers and will inspect over 300 courses.

Join its senior team as they explain the thinking behind their new vision for education and training and what it could mean for educators, students and employers. They will discuss its importance to the overall stability, safety and effectiveness of the social work profession.

There are opportunities to discuss Social Work England’s plans for the next three years at several events in 2022. This session will reflect on some of your feedback and touch on a number of topics, including equality, diversity and inclusion, fitness to practise and this year’s CPD requirements.

Learning outcomes:

  • Hear Social Work England’s focus for the next three years.
  • Understand the new vision for social work education and training.
  • Learn how you can get involved.
