Understanding trauma – why children behave the way they do

10/13/2020 10:30 - 11:30

Social workers frequently work with children and families who have experienced trauma. This session will support practitioners to:

  • Understand how trauma from early age manifests itself in the behaviour and life choices of children, young people and adults.
  • Have an increased understanding of the links between trauma, attachment, behaviour and triggers.
  • Learn more about developmental trauma, toxic stress and adverse childhood experiences.
