Children and Families , Adults
Nearly half of children and young people in England and Wales have been a victim or witness of violence in the past year, suggests a recent large-scale survey by the Youth Endowment Foundation. This session will look at children and young people’s experiences of violence and explore the types of interventions social workers and others can provide to reduce the risk of violence. Attend this session to: • Find out more about the prevalence of youth violence • Explore what the research says about interventions that really work • Learn how social workers can help reduce the risk of violence through their day-to-day practice
