This session will explore issues around online participation and online harms, drawing on research conducted over a number of years with stakeholders around adults with learning disabilities. It will explore the balance of ensuring people are safe without unnecessarily eroding their rights or excessively controlling access and how best to create a disclosure first environment. Attend this session to: • Understand the nature of online harms and how to support those who might be exposed • Learn how to make evidence-based responses to concerns and disclosures • Understand the law and its application in this area
