Growing the solution-focused approach is statutory social work practice

09 Oct 2024
Essex Theatre
Children and Families
We love to pilot something different in Essex County Council’s children and families service. Following the successful use of solution-focused practice in our edge of care services, the South Essex quadrant embarked on a programme of solution-focused practice training for all workers in all children’s services, to test and learn how it will enhance our current strengths-based, systemic and relationship-based model. Let us tell you the story of how we have been doing that and the impact it is having so far.
Speakers
Gayle Cole, director local delivery
Greg Orbeck, practice supervisor
Anne Manning, team manager
Madison Martineau, senior practioner
