Occupational therapy , Adults

Join us for an inspiring and interactive session that showcases how Oxfordshire is leading the way in reimagining adult social care. Discover how we’re putting people first, empowering communities, and driving real change across the county.

The Oxfordshire Way is our strengths-based, community-led approach that places people at the centre of their social care journey. During this session we will share:

  • Moving beyond a model. Learn how applying a culture shift that has given us the tools to focus on helping people stay well and independent for as long as possible, reducing reliance on formal care services and tackling inequalities.
  • Improving Waiting Times. Hear how our teams have revolutionised waiting times through creative problem-solving and teamwork. The results? Shorter waits, happier residents, and better outcomes across the board.
  • Home First Initiative. Discover the impact of our dynamic reablement pathway, helping people return home safely after hospital stays. The outcomes speak for themselves—greater independence, reduced long-term care needs, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from residents.
